Thanks to our community, we unlocked 1,000 books from Scholastic! Every $5 still helps provide a new children’s book for a family at Room to Grow, giving little readers the tools they need to learn, imagine, and grow. The more we give, the more stories kids get — let’s see how far we can go together.
Helping Stories Grow, From the Very First Page
This March for National Reading Month, we’re celebrating the small, magical moments that start a love of reading: the first book a caregiver opens, the giggle at a picture, the familiar pages we read again and again (and again).
Access to books strengthens bonds, supports language development, and builds the foundation for lifelong learning. Thanks to our partners at Scholastic and our amazing community, we unlocked 1,000 books for families in just TWO weeks! We can keep the momentum going and give families the tools they need to nurture curiosity, imagination, and strong starts — from the very first page.

Donate New Children’s Books
Our Amazon Wish Lists feature the books we need most right now, especially Spanish-language titles and diverse stories that reflect the families we support. Shop for Boston or New York and send books directly to our Family Centers.
Drop Off Books In Person
You can also drop off new or gently used children’s books at our Family Centers in Boston or New York.
